Coaches…
I hope this letter finds you well & enjoying the start of your school year. I am in my 28th year as a head high school basketball coach in the great state of Tennessee.
The thing I will always remember once I retire, will not necessarily be the games I coached in, but the relationships I formed with coaches across our great state.
I am encouraging each of you to join The Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee. I am encouraging you to join to help grow the game & to be able to be a part of something that will help you build relationships with coaches across our state.
I can remember connecting with coaches at a very young age & a lot of these coaches I am still in contact with today… Rick Insell, Jack Harlow, David Collie, Lamar Rogers to name a few. All of these fellas were a mentor to me and helped me grow as a coach.
By being part of an organization like The Basketball Coaches Association of Tennessee, we can all grow as a coach through the relationships we build.
I wish everyone the very best in the upcoming season. Do not hesitate to reach out if I can ever help you.
Cordially-
John Wild
